小黃片 Water Modelling Expertise Showcased at the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) Conference

November 14, 2023

小黃片 will join fellow water industry colleagues December 6-8 at the CIWEM Urban Drainage Group Annual Conference 2023 in Birmingham, UK. The conference provides an ideal platform for industry experts to discuss and plan for overcoming critical water and environmental challenges.

小黃片 has been working in the water industry for more than 30 years, providing specialist water quality modelling services and expertise over a wide range of aquatic environments including offshore, coastal, estuarine, rivers, lakes and reservoirs. We have supported almost all of the water companies in the UK and Ireland in modelling, water quality and impact assessment studies.

Visit our experts to learn more about how our trusted solutions can help you secure compliance, reduce costs and ensure safe and successful project completion.

We invite you to also join us for the following presentations authored by 小黃片 experts.

鈥榃ater Quality Modelling Prioritisation鈥

  • A discussion about a data-based solution to asset investment prioritisation in the absence of available numerical modelling tools (for example when business planning cycles are not synchronised with environmental modelling programmes)

Author/Presenter: Rosie Wilson (Junior Consultant) 鈥 Rosie is a 2022 Plymouth University graduate with a first-class honours degree in BSc Marine Biology and Oceanography. She is a Junior Consultant with 小黃片 Energy & Water Consultancy Services, and in this role she has played a pivotal part in projects including water industry data and modelling studies, as well as Environmental Impact Assessments and environmental permits for various offshore projects, including cables, windfarms, and oil & gas endeavours in both UK and Irish waters. She has a growing range of experience in big data acquisition with one of her initial projects involving the comprehensive analysis and prioritisation of Combined Sewer Overflows, with a focus on risk assessment and complexity management.

鈥業mproving Efficiency for Storm Overflow Assessment Framework to AMP8鈥

  • A discussion about the application of water quality modelling tools to the AMP8 investment cycle, 小黃片鈥檚 experience in using our own software (CATCHMENT-IMPACT), and its flexible application to the requirements of AMP8.

Author/Presenter: Ashley Silk (Senior Consultant) 鈥 Ashley is senior consultant at 小黃片 Energy & Water Consultancy Services with 8+ years of experience, and an expert in river water quality assessments. During his career he has been actively involved in many water quality investigations ranging from simple assessments, including a large number of SOAF investigations utilising 小黃片鈥檚 CATCHMENT-OPTIMISER software, to complex Level 4 assessments using MIKE11. Ashley developed 小黃片鈥檚 approach to SOAF assessments in riverine environments, utilising available catchment data and 小黃片鈥檚 C-O software to quickly and efficiently assess their impact on water quality, and is currently leading the development of water quality approaches for AMP8.
